ABOUT QUEENSTOWN NATURAL HEALTH

Our Story
Queenstown Natural Health was founded in 2014. From day one we have had a strong focus on personalised, natural, holistic health maintenance and are driven by sharing the beautiful natural healing products New Zealand and selected international suppliers have to offer. We have been pioneers in this space and pride ourselves on internally testing and reviewing all of our big brand products. We stand behind each and every product we sell in store and online. You can find us in our humble store in Five Mile Retail Centre, Frankton, Queenstown and online.

Meet the Team
Our dedicated natural health team consists of local holistic health practitioners, outdoor enthusiasts, and empathetic ladies with varying backgrounds and strengths.
  • Kim

Kim is manager and co-owner of Queenstown Natural Health, having set up shop with hubbie Pete and opened the doors way back in 2015. Kim has a long-standing passion for natural health, having worked through her own health issues over the years when the conventional health system sometimes fell short.

A Queenstown local since 1991, Kim has worked as a medical laboratory technologist, as a secondary teacher, has raised two sons, and in addition to her BA, has partially completed a Bachelor of Natural Medicine. During her own health journey, Kim identified a need in the Wakatipu area for a sustainable, ethical, holistic health products outlet where natural health complemented mainstream medicine, without using chemical-based pharmaceutical products. As a result, the store’s carefully curated inventory reflects the particular needs and health concerns of our wonderful locals in particular. But increasingly, national and international visitors are also forming a large part of Kim’s clientele.

  • Elyse

Natural health and wellbeing is my passion. I love being able to support and offer guidance to anyone in need. I feel if we can address the body as a whole then we are better able to gain long term results.

I'm trained in a number of modalities including reflexology, energy healing, theta healing, micro unwinding and myofacial release as well as having a deep love and passion for herbs and supplements.

On my days off I'm making salves for healing, enjoying hikes, yoga and meditation, anything that gets me into nature or allows me to unwind.

  • Jemma

I am a keen runner and very much into yoga. I have 3 teenagers, 1 boy and twin girls.

As the kids are older, I felt it was perfect timing to study Naturopathy, as I have always had an interest in natural health and am very passionate about all aspects. Also, the women in my family were all into some form of health and healing so it felt so natural for me.

Along the way to this point I have been self-learning and attending courses in other forms of healing. It is a never ending process of learning and that's what keeps it so stimulating.

I have a genuine passion to help others heal and make them realise their full potential.

  • Megan

I am a ski bum, adventure seeker, deep thinker, organic gardener, culinary whizz and mother to 2 amazing boys.

In 2021 I completed my Diploma in Health Sciences. Health has been a big part of my life since my first boy was born 7 years ago, I had to radically change my diet as he came out kicking and screaming!

With a background in food and organic gardening I thought studying nutrition would be the last piece to the health puzzle, boy was I wrong. During my study I quickly realised health relates to EVERYTHING in a person’s life.

I am fascinated by everything health related and love helping people navigate their own health journey.

  • Hannah

Hannah was born and bred in Queenstown, moved overseas for a few years and then found a passion for natural health on return, during the Covid lockdown.

She is currently studying for a Bachelor of Natural Medicine at SPCNM.

Hannah enjoys hiking and exploring the local hills and mountains in her spare time.

  • Alejandra

Ale’s journey in health started as a teenager when she found yoga and started to become more aware of her body and the influence everything around her had on her health. Yoga gave Ale a community of like-minded people early on and inspired her to connect with herself and the ones around on a deeper level. With the influence of her family and community Ale started turning to nature as a way to heal every time things would fall out of balance.

In 2016 she completed her first yoga teacher training and started teaching straight away. Between 2016 and 2019 she completed different anatomy and physiology courses that helped her deepen her understanding of the body, giving her the tools to bring more functionality into her yoga classes and support her students in a more holistic way through their health journey.

In early 2019 she finished a diploma in Alternative medicine, about the same time she started working with us at Queenstown Natural Health. In 2021 she finished a Certificate in Health Sciences and she is currently studying a degree in Naturopathy and Herbal Medicine.

If she is not working or studying you will find her out in nature, enjoying the snow in winter, the ocean when it is warm or the gym any time of the year.

Her goal for herself, her loved ones and her customers is to bring more balance, functionality and a sense of love, connection and respect for the mind and the body.
